The McLaren P1 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds

Little can top the speed this car accelarates at. The biggest secret behind the McLaren P1 is Bosch's gasoline injection system, with a staggering combined power output of 903 hp. Bosch Engineering and the Gasoline Systems division were involved in the development. Inside the sports car worth over €1 million, eight EV14 injectors from the Bamberg plant ensure an efficient fuel combustion. In addition to a V8 twin-turbo engine, the luxury car features an electric powertrain.

Anyone now considering to buy a P1 will be quite disappointed to learn that the limited edition of 375 vehicles has already been sold out. But there is also good news. For the next generation with a significantly higher volume, McLaren is currently testing the EV14-P, an even more powerful variant of the valve.
